It’s been a while since we last had an actual MMD post, but that doesn’t mean things have been happening. The freeware animation program had six updates in the interim, mainly dealing with problems with the MMDxShow.dll file. I don’t know the whole story, but I’m guessing that new problems arose as old ones were […]
“See what happens when college consumes my time? Hopefully this won’t be the case next week (just pray to God my professors don’t give me a whole load of work to do).” -DK, on Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #96’s review Unfortunately, it was the case. Now I have a Thesis, a “Mini-Thesis”, and a JAVA program […]
By now, you’re probably tired of V-ism’s coverage of the 3rd MikuMiku Dance Cup. After all, we’ve previewed all three themes’ top entrants pretty extensively and got you aware of something you may not have initially known about. You can’t think there’s anything else, right? Well, you’re wrong. 46 of the 80+ entries score got […]
I just want to share this attractive model from KiyoP. For lolicons out there it must feel nice to watch this little cute Miku to dance about. I first found out about her in this video over on youtube (Nico link). You can download the model from the link in this video. Avoid ecchi poses, […]
So far in our MMD Cup shenanigans, we looked at the seasons, we looked at the future, and now we’re gonna take it easy. No, not in the above sense. Honestly, I’m glad yukkuri isn’t one of the themes. There’d be no originality whatsoever, just a bunch of floating heads. Instead, we’re doing raku, which […]
Let’s look into…the future Reader: The future, Joe? That’s right, loyal reader, the distant future! All the way to the Year 3000! Reader: . . . Okay, then how about August 14, 2009, which is when the Finals of the 3rd semi-annual MMD Cup will commence. 86 entries have been submitted and we have been looking over […]
As we move closer to August 14th, Vocaloidism will preview some of the top vids from the 3rd MMD Cup Qualifying and see if they’re up to snuff. With over half of the 86 entries earning a perfect score, leave it to V-ism to sort the trash from the treasure. In our last installment, the […]
【ニコニコ動画】週刊VOCALOIDランキング #96 T’is time for another edition of the WVR review! But… umm… unfortunately this is gonna be quite brief since I didn’t do prior research (I was busy with other stuff during the week), so I won’t delve too much into the new songs that made it to this week’s rankings. As a side note: […]
One of the neat things the Vocaloid community does is the semi-annual MikuMikuDance Cup. For those who don’t know, it’s an Iron Chef-style MMD video contest with the winners determined by the fan community on Nico Nico Douga. The qualifying round for the 3rd meet is now in the books, and with 86 videos in […]
Honestly, I think we at V-ism should post at least 1 non-Vocaran story per week, even if it’s going to be fluff or something barely relevant. Here’s this week’s article: The folks at the VPVP have released version 5.02 of MikuMikuDance, fixing a bug involving sound playback. So if your audio’s been wonky, well there […]
【ニコニコ動画】週刊VOCALOIDランキング #95 Another week, another review of WVR… Funny, it seems like only yesterday (looks at article below). Last week we saw GUMI going the way of her “brother,” Gakupo and many other Vocaloids who are not named Miku, Rin/Len or Luka. Seems like she’s destined to play second fiddle, which is very unfortunate (since I […]
【ニコニコ動画】週刊VOCALOIDランキング #94 Ahh… it is good to be back, after all. Well, as I promised, here I am reviewing the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking (which will henceforth be abbreviated to WVR) for the English Vocaloid community at large. The link above leads directly to the NND upload of said ranking and is for registered NND members only, […]
