Vocaloid NND Weekly Ranking
Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #144 “Unselected”

The summer is heating up (at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere) and it’s only gotten hotter with new news on Vocaloids Lily and Tonio.  It’s shaping up to be a battle of East and West, Europe and Asia, green tea and black tea.  Who will win?  Probably Miku, but that’s beside the point.

Anyway, we’re not here to talk about the future, we’re here about the past, namely the past week’s top Vocaloid songs. So without further delay, here’s our breakdown. (NOW UPDATED WITH NEW COMMENTARY)

Naho’s Opening Statement:

Here’s the late-due-to-various-reasons VocaRan. Soccer and the elections are over, and peaceful days have come at last. Finally I can rest! …is what many of us are thinking, right?

However, as this week is just before the tri-monthly occuring Vom@s, there’s a rush of various new songs…! They’ll definitely have frontrunner appeal! That’s how I feel!

Well then let’s begin! This week like the rest, from number 30, let’s start!

-Song Stats: Up (↑), Down (↓), Unmoved (→), Unranked (–), New (!!)

In Other Vocaloid News:

The best from ryoxkzxHatsune Miku has arrived! The single for the commissioned songs for Project DIVA2 “Kocchi Muite Baby/Yellow” will be released on July 14th.

Now, VOCALOID songs haven’t had a single in a while… we should be watching the Oricon chart for this one. If it manages to get a top spot, then Miku’s voice can reach even more people through CDTV or Music Station! (Links provided by me. -dez)

All this is true, but… as you can see, as far as the Oricon goes, there’ll be some stiff competition. There will be famous artists released at the same time. They’re constantly in the top ten, so it’ll be really difficult to come out on top.

What rank will Miku-san get, I wonder? Will it turn out like the album and manage to get first place?! Let’s hope for it!

And having finished its break, the highly anticipated Vom@s 13 will open. The location is the Tokyo Metropolitan Trade Center in the Hamamatsuchou building! There’s no mistake!

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

An interesting note for this week.  Our top songs were from, in order, sasakure, Hachi, cosMo, and 40mP.  I guess name recognition is still a major contributor to the scores.

Also, has Ali Project figured out how to sing another song yet? [/snark]

…And so with that, we end this week’s Vocaloid Ranking review. Please join us again next week to see if boys rule the roost or the power of boobs prevail.

  1. ARGH SO MANY CLASSICS UP THERE PLEASE LEAVE
and Rolling Girl is still under Ura-Omote which makes me sad
Yowamushi needs to go up. And I'm not fond of Akuno-P's new song (Desert Bluebird) because of that whole anti-world-blowing-up theme. That's Shuujin-P's job, people.
    NEW SASAKURE SONG YES
/goes to vanish and continue with UTAUran review

  2. I love RinRin HIGH☆MIND so much asdfsdfl;
Cutest thing I've seen all week. Go watch the whole PV, it's adorable and very well-made. Plus it's really catchy and Rin sounds super lifelike~~
The Pickup is nifty. Technically, it's an exemplary piece. Plus G@popo's on guitar. Pretty awesome stuff.
Yay, Sasakure-P got the top spot! And against fierce competition too.

  3. Yowamushi Montblanc~ go up a little more~! oAo

Although, I’m impressed that it still remained in the vocaloid rankings. I do hope that it’ll remain there a little longer afterward too~

      1. Its not the ED song, the song I am wondering about starts at around 18:16 and ends ~ 18:52. Then the ED song starts.

        Thanks
