Yeah, just in case if you didn’t remember it’s actually MEIKO’s birthday today. And we here at Vocaloidism do remember about her so this will be a special post dedicated to MEIKO on her special day. Anyway just read on for more information, birthday fanarts as well as some of the notable songs from MEIKO.
Voiced by Japanese female singer Haigou MEIKO, MEIKO was released by Crypton as a DTM (Desktop Music) software back in November 5th 2004 based on the original Vocaloid engine. And as she belongs to the older generation of Vocaloid along with KAITO (Miku, Rin, Len and Luka utilizes the newer Vocaloid2 engine) she’s also affectionately known as “neesan” or “older sister” to the Vocaloid group.
And now we move on to some of the notable songs from MEIKO.
This song is related to KAITO’s song “廃墟に降る花” (Flowers falling in ruins), also by ShigotoshiteP.

If I may, you kind of overlooked the Saikane MEIKO portion of her. Though younger in appearance and sound, she's still MEIKO and deserves a birthday party, no?
I'm rather glad they didn't mention her. I never liked Sakine Meiko's voice. Original Meiko rules!! Happy Birthday!! ^_^
