Hatsune Miku Project DIVA – June Update

We’re so close to Hatsune Miku Project DIVA’s release date! Only less than a month to go. And of course, as usual, more information is released today. 2 new costumes by SEGA, since as we know a few days ago, the PIAPRO x SEGA Costume Collaboration have been completed and all 22 costumes have been made into a 3D model. A new promotional video was released to the public, featuring Ievan Polkka. 9 more songs have been announced – 7 of them being the winners of the PIAPRO x SEGA Songs Collaboration. So that means that currently, 35 costumes and 35 songs are known. See the new Promotional Video below, and read on after the break for more details!

Remember the P-style costumes we told you about a few days ago? Seems like SEGA is not satisfied with the black and white colors, and they’ve decided to add another style called “MG”. See the costume below.

And SEGA also announced a Star costume for Hatsune Miku Project DIVA – which means that 35 costumes have been revealed. Only 4 more to go. Here’s the Star costume.

So those are the two new costumes – I personally like the P-style one better, since the Star costume is too similar to the original costume – although it’s awesome too. 7 winning songs from the PIAPRO x SEGA Songs Collaboration have been announced, and here are all of them.

And I just saw one of my favorite Vocaloid songs on the list – SETSUNA by shiki2. You can hear all of the songs in the playlist below, except for 教えて!! 魔法のLyric(SGソング応募用ショートバージョン・A), because I can’t get it added to my playlist for some reason. But I’ve embedded that too so you can still hear it.

And remember that a few days ago I wrote down all of the confirmed songs in my blog post? The song Arano to Mori to Mahou no Uta (The song of the Desert, Forest and Magic) by ToraborutaP, which was specially made for this game, have been divided into three. A normal version, a Rin version and a Len version. I’m not sure if this is counted as three songs or just one song. If it’s counted as three songs, the total number of announced songs are 35, while if this song is counted as a single song, the total number of announced songs are 33. So there you go, only 4 costumes and 4 songs (or 6 songs) to wait for. But the news doesn’t stop here.

SEGA have announced a partnership with COSPA to release several Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- goods. They will be on sale between July and August. I own several COSPA shirts and I love their quality – am glad they decided to do the same for Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-. So here are their product lineup!

  1. Does COSPA ship internationally? If so, the cell phone strap and possibly one of the shirts might become my birthday present. xD;

  2. All the P Style costumes are awesome-looking, even though they're just palette swaps. CW and MG are already my favourites out of the bunch and the game's not even out yet! =O

  3. The PSP is pretty international, so it will work for us. However, it won’t be translated. The layout is so simple so it won’t need translations. If you watch gameplay videos and reviews, you’ll be able to remember what’s what in a flash!
