Akikan!

Akikan! is one of the anime I’ve watched until the end this in the last Winter 2009 season. The last episode of the anime sure have some surprises. Firstly, a girl named Miku appeared in the show, and then Hatsune Miku sung the last ending theme. If you’re not aware of this anime, it’s about girls that appears out of soda cans. There are two types of cans, Aluminium cans and steel cans. Some of these cans can transform into a girl, and the two types of cans battle against each other. In the last episode, a girl came out of a Mix Juice can, and was named Miku. The ending theme of this anime changes every episode, usually the lyrics are changed according to the characters that appear in this anime. The last episode’s ending theme was sung by Nomiko feat. Hatsune Miku. I’ll try to upload the ending theme to YouTube, but it’s not so clear since other characters are also talking in the ending theme. Anyways, there’s the picture of the Mix Juice can girl, “Miku”, who appeared in the last episode of the anime. I’d assume that her name is from “Mix”, changed into the katakana “ミックス” (mikkusu), and then into “ミク” (miku). Akikan! received mixed reviews as it have a unique story but bad animation. It seems that the producer of this anime decided to set a low budget for Akikan!.
