Heya peeps! Remember that little quip I said at the end of the WVR #111 review article? Something about Utatte Mita and “Just Be Friends?” Well… okay, maybe it’s not much of an Utatte Mita as it is an English-translated Vocaloid song done by a western singer, but trust me on this, it’s not as bad as it sounds. One bad touch deserves another

On November 11th, the Vocaloid Promotional Video Project has released a brand new version of MMD.  Version 6 is going to be a new, souped-up version of the software we all know and love.  Because of this, it’s in a “pilot” version available in the usual places.  It’s still not top-of-the-line software, but Vista or Windows 7 is recommended.

With the new MMD software comes a new MMD companion program.  Meet MikuMikuTransborder, a program that allows you to insert your MMD work into other 3D programs that support DirectX. Want an example?  Just look below.

Hmm… Recently I’ve started checking the Weekly NND Vocaloid Ranking (not related to WVR… I think)  to predict what songs will make the Top-30 and catch up/listen to a few that manage to pique my interest. The result is, reviewing the WVR just became an even more mundane chore. Hopefully I could count on redemption2 to calculate and give meaning to the rise and fall of certain songs and make things a little more interesting.

With that said, let’s just go right ahead into the review.

(Please take note that from now on, every WVR review will be a “progressive” article – that means it will be published almost immediately after the WVR video is uploaded on NND, so comments on songs might be a little bare at first)

Oh hi.  Thanks for donating, but we’re not done with you yet.  Vocaloidism, as with most blogs, is always a work in process.  This time, we’re working on our image.  Literally.

We don’t have a shiny logo yet, but several of our forum patrons have provided some very nice options.  Go to this thread and choose your favorite.  The winner’s images will be used as our official Vocaloidism Network logo(s) from hereon in, or until some cyber-squatter comes in and buys our address.
