Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #191 – Next Year

Vocaloid NND Weekly Ranking
Weekly Vocaloid Ranking “Unselected”

Well I’m finally back home, and going into the last week of highschool. I feel so old now… but then again I have college ahead of me, so more work? Oh well, while at Fanime I was at the Vocaloid Panel which gave very good information on Crypton vocaloids, and also mentioned the articles I posted on here! If you came here from going to that panel, comment below! I would love to meet other vocaloid fans in my area. Back to the weekly vocaloid ranking though. Since Sippotan is back, I hope he does the WVR next week.

This is just a shot in the dark, but did Rio recently come out in Japan?

(Pronounce discord)
I just love this, not as much as osu’s previous song Good Morning though.

#28 (!!): 【VY1(CUL)】DON☆TEN【dis曲】
Getting a facefull of bird by Vocaloid’s commercial release rep isn’t my idea of a good song.

#27 (!!): 【鏡音リン】心電サイコジェニック【オリジナル】 (Psychogenic Electrocardiograph)
<no comment>

#26 (↑31): 【オリジナル曲PV】パンダヒーロー【GUMI】 (Panda Hero)
<no comment>

Interesting Miku model there, one I’ve not seen before.

I called it. I freaking called it.

(You and the World)
Wow, sank like a depth charge!

#22 (↓4): 【神威がくぽ KAITO 鏡音レン】「Arrest Rose」オリジナル曲
<no comment>

#21 (!!): 【初音ミク】直感的フェノメラーゼ【オリジナル】 (Intuitive Phenomerase)
A great upbeat song. It’s got that staying-power formula too.

#20 (↓17): 【鏡音リン】ボーナスステージ【鏡音レン】 (Bonus Stage)
<no comment>

#19 (!! ): 【鏡音レン】唯然う在る様に【オリジナル曲】
The return of DATAKEN! Made of win.

<no comment>

#17 (↑22): 【オリジナル曲PV】マトリョシカ【初音ミク・GUMI】 (Matryoshka)
<no comment>

#16 (–): ＧＵＭＩオリジナルＰＶ曲「家出少年と迷子少女」
This was one of cosMo’s fails. Why is this resurrected?

The one that made Gackt cry.

Listen to the full song. Trust me, you’ll love it.

<no comment>

#7 (!!): 【初音ミク】眠らせ姫からの贈り物【中世物語風オリジナル】
<no comment>

#6 (!!): 【GUMI】僕の恋愛法則【オリジナル曲】 (My Love Law)
This art reminds me of Tsukasa from Lucky Star, well I guess it is, since it was made by KonataP

Probably the song I like the most out of the top 30.

(Heavenly Weakness)
164!!! Yeah nothing much to say other than ITS 164! 164 + Gumi is a formula for epic, but there’s an odd inflection to her voice in this that I’m not used to.

THIS WEEK IN HISTORY: (WVR#138)
This spot is for a look back at the VocaRan one year before. Here are the top five songs from that week.

#5: 【初音ミク】はっぴーべりーはっぴー【オリジナル】 (Happy Very Happy)
<no comment>

#4: 【ミク・ルカ】 Ladies First【オリジナル曲】

Has it been a year already?

#3 (↓2): 【GUMI】スリープ・スカイ・ウォーク【オリジナル】 (Sleep, Sky, Walk)
<no comment>

#2 (!!): 【鏡音リン・レン】アンハッピーリフレイン【カバー】 (Unhappy Refrain Cover)
Not surprised.

Sister Miku reminded me of Orsola in Index somehow… Again, nun too excited about cosMo’s recent works. See what I did there?

I hate songs that overuse the L-R swapping, but the vocals are great.

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

Overall, its a great week, although some songs I like didn’t make it up to the top 30, I put them in the Editor Picks. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the weekly ranking, please let me know, and if you went to Fanime, I hope to see you there again next year!

…And so with that, we end this week’s Vocaloid Ranking review. Please join us again next week, and almost time for graduation!
