Welcome to yet another VOCALOID Spotlight! This time, we’d cover DEBUTANTE2. So first, what’s DEBUTANTE? DEBUTANTE is a compilation album by many great VOCALOID song producers. I’ll cover 2 songs in this VOCALOID spotlight. Firstly, the best of all in my opinion, cosMo’s new song. The title of this song is Θ, read as “Capsule”. I’ll tell you why later on. Next, signalP’s new song, Transmit by Kagamine Rin. There’s also one OSTER project song in this compilation album, but I haven’t really explored the song, so I can’t write anything about it other than it’s awesome. Almost everything on this album is awesome. Well then, let’s move on to the VOCALOID spotlight. Read on for more details.

I always love cosMo’s songs. Infinity, Zero, Miku’s Piano Fantasy, and the famous Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu. His song styles are crazy, but are fun to listen! First, I’d like to talk about the background illustration of this song. It’s Lucy, the mascot of cosMo. She’s pretty cute, right? I’m really in love with the background that I’m using it as my wallpaper now… So anyways, the title of this song is only one character. Θ. How are we supposed to read it? According to Wikipedia, Θ is read as “Theta”, the mathematical symbol. But then again, this song didn’t mean Theta. Why? Listen to it for yourselves and look at the background. Try to look at this background for a while.

Notice that on the right of the Θ symbol, it says “かぷせる” (kapuseru). So it’s pretty obvious that this song’s title is read as “Capsule”. If any of you wanted to know what the song actually meant, here’s what it means.

Θ, a drug which works well with mental illnesses. It’ll bring Lucy to the sky with diamonds.

Now the illustrations makes sense… I really love this song. Mark my words, this song would be on the top 5 of this week’s Weekly Ranking (I haven’t watched it yet, I’ll make a review about it later on). This song is a must-listen for any VOCALOID fan.

Ah, the tenth song from signalP, whose famous for his “Rin Rin Signal” song. I love this song. Rin’s voice is done really nicely and cutely. The instrumental part is also great. But what really made this song awesome is Rin’s voice. I haven’t heard any good Rin songs these few weeks, since people are focusing on Hatsune Miku because it was her birthday. But this song finally appears, one of the best Rin songs ever.

This song has got to be the best Len song I’ve heard up until now. Take a look at staffs for this song. Yep, they are all NicoNicoArtists. halyosy is really awesome in making this song. If you don’t know who halyosy is, he’s a NicoNicoArtist. He sang some VOCALOID songs in the past. The most recent one was Black★Rock Shooter (ブラック★ロックシューター). But he also sang Konbini (here’s the original Miku version, halyosy sort of made the song better) among others. If you’re interested more in him, just search for his name in Nico Nico Douga (you’ll find a lot of his videos, and the recent ones are about this song) by just clicking here. Or you could just go straight to his website.

The nice illustrations (I must say, those are the best Len illustrations I’ve seen in a while) was made by wakana, some arrangements were made by is and the PV was made by that. The song itself, is really awesome. It fits my style perfectly. It made it into the 10th place of this week’s weekly ranking (Weekly Ranking #45).

There you have it. The most popular VOCALOID video in Nico Nico Douga these two weeks. What can I say? This is truly a masterpiece. redjuice is so awesome at drawing, and the illustration of this song is so awesome. kz is so awesome at making VOCALOID music, so this song is awesome. Great Song + Great PV = Masterpiece. Miku’s voice is done awesomely at this song. And this song is the winner of the last two weeks of VOCALOID ranking, in a row. The PV is awesome, almost perfect. I love livetune. I have nothing more to say other than this song is awesome. A masterpiece.

Wow. Just Wow. This is the most amazing PV I’ve ever seen. And why’s that? Just look at the illustrator list above. It’s a collaboration PV from 18 artists. And the song? It’s really awesome. I guess that’s expected, seeing as the song was made by SHIKI… SHIKI started becoming really popular since he/she made the song Triangle☆Girl’s Heart. That song became really popular in around May, and it’s on the 3rd place of one of the Weekly Rankings. His/her second creation, SETSUNA, is really, really awesome, and in my opinion, it’s even better than Triangle☆Girl’s Heart. And the PV is so… amazing. I’ve never seen a PV this good. And even though the english is a bit unclear, I LOVE the english bit parts in the middle of this song. That’s my favorite part of the song. A hundred thumbs-up for SHIKI and his/her crew on making this song.
