While the big event over in Japan for Miku Day (3/9) was Mikupa Wakayama
in Knasai (also broadcast on WOWOW), there were also a lot of other events going on, such as VOCALOID Cinema Party, where fans had a chance to watch 4K resolution promo videos. For fans wondering about the upcoming English release of Miku, it also appears that Crypton Future Media has updated the official English website for Hatsune Miku, possibly in preparation for the upcoming SXSW Miku Panel on the 11th. The page now includes much better writing as well as various hooks for various audiences, and it also mentions a projected release date of Summer 2013. In other news, livetune’s upcoming album Re:Dial will include an English version of Tell Your World (English VOCALOID work by CircusP according to a tweet by himself), and the track seems to be available ahead of schedule on iTunes.
Universal Music Japan has announced that they will be including a remix track by livetune on well-known electronic dance music producer Zedd’s upcoming Japanese release of the album Clarity. Zedd has previously made many remixes of his own and had also written songs for Skrillex, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga; he’s also producing her upcoming album. The “Spectrum” remix, whose preview was uploaded on YouTube, features heavily auto-tuned vocals sung by Miku’s English voice bank
along with some of the backing vocals from the original song. According to Twitter posts, CircusP worked on the tuning for the track. The track will be a bonus track for the Japanese release of the album Clarity; the album had also been previously released in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe, garnering number 3 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Zedd had also run a remix contest for the album, which had previously received many entries from electronic artists in Japan as well.

Scenes of YouTube and Mikubook have also been replaced by scenes of Nico Nico Douga. The uploader acknowledges that it’s unofficial and has already emailed Google, livetune and SEGA with an apology and a request, pointing out to viewers that there is a possibility of this video getting deleted.
