This Miku Nendoroid was actually based on the video by HMO (Hatsune Miku Orchestra) below.

Reservations for this figure will start on August 31st. This blog post will be updated when the reservation links are out. To be priced at 4,000 yen each, Hobby Search and AmiAmi are taking reservations for the figure currently.

According to this tweet Crypton has just finished the sound check for the Alpha version of Kagamine Len’s Append and they will be planning to show his Append voice latest by January next year. Recording for Len’s Append will continue tomorrow throughout the week.

Finally we have our first Len song with over two million views on Nico Nico Douga and unsurprisingly it’s Servant of Evil (Or Aku no Meshitsukai), in which this feat was achieved on Aug 16th 2010 @ 12:07 hours Japan Time. Here’s an description regarding the story of the song itself, just to refresh everyone’s mind on it.

The story of the song is told through the views of the evil princess’s servant, Len, who is actually her twin brother. The evil princess has done many cruel things and is cold by nature, but her brother only sees the nice and innocent side of her, serving her whole-heartedly all the while. Then, while on a trip to another land, Len sees a woman with green colored hair (Hatsune Miku) and falls in love with her instantly. However, the Daughter of Evil, being jealous of what she saw, orders Len to have her killed, in which Len obeys without any hesitation.

Later, the woman’s partner (Kaito) as well as an uprising army (lead by Meiko) attack the castle in which the evil princess is living in wanting to take the evil princess’s life. It was then her servant came up with an idea to save her by exchanging each other’s clothes and trade places instead. As they are identical twins, no one would be able to tell that the “evil princess” is actually a fake. Unsurprisingly, everyone fell for the trick and the servant, disguised as the princess, was sent to the execution table and beheaded, as the princess watches and grieves for her brother. However, Len says that he has no regrets and and was glad to be of service to her princess even till the very end.

With the addition of Servant of Evil this would make it the 16th Vocaloid-related song and overall 81st on the Nico Nico Douga 2 million views video list. And onto some of the images created by Pixiv after the song’s first million views.

The first version of this song was by Rin was uploaded on April 1st, 2009, while Len’s version was uploaded on May 3rd of the same year. Both songs are connected with each other, as Len’s version starts out with Rin singing the first few lines and fading out to Len. While both versions share a lot of the same lyrics, Len’s does have some different lines as well as a slightly more upbeat tempo. Rin’s version is embedded below, for your listening pleasure.

The song title translates to “Butterfly on the Right Shoulder” and the lyrics are about two people being in deep love, but how they experience as much pain as they do pleasure from the feeling.

Anyhow, congrats to Len! I always feel he is a bit unappreciated in the Vocaloid world and anything that helps further him along is great to me. Personally, I’ve always been in love with Len’s version of this song, so yeh~! Only six more days until the official Project DIVA 2nd release folks! For all you lucky people who will be receiving your copies soon I am envious. I will probably be dragging my feet on the matter until at least October when I will have a little less on my plate school-wise and fewer financial demands. (I gotta get the PSP as well unfortunately).

Well the news of the day appears to be yet another release of several Project DIVA 2nd PVs on the official Project DIVA NND Channel. It can be assumed that these songs and videos will be featured in the game upon its release. The three songs are: “Gemini” feat. Rin and Len Kagamine (by DixieFlatline), “from Y to Y” feat. Miku Hatsune (by JimmyThumbP), and “Honto wa Wakatteru” (tl. attempt: “I Get it, Really”) feat. Miku Hatsune (by FunakoshiP). Please enjoy these videos below:

The last PV really is lots of fun and I am happy to have discovered a song I didn’t know before. The song itself appears to have first been uploaded by the producer all the way back in 2007, I am sure he/she is overjoyed it has made it into the game. As the release date for the game nears SEGA has yet again updated the official Project DIVA site with news of three more songs that will be included in the game as well as the PVs to go along. These three songs are Migikata no Chou (Len’s version) by NoriP, Cantarella by WhiteFlame (KurousaP) and Change me by shu-tP and you can watch the videos below.

With these three new songs made known that leaves only four songs remaining which haven’t been revealed, which we will get to know more next week so do stay updated to Vocaloidism as always. ^_^
